Sara Skillman
Sara holds a Batchelor of Fine Arts from SUNY
Fredonia.
She taught art at Maple Grove Junior-Senior
High, Bemus Point Elementary, and Ripley Central High School.
She has exhibited at "Art in the
Park" in Bemus Point where she received "Best in
Show" in 1989, Second Place in 1990, and First Place in
1991.
Sara was the proprietor of "Auras of the
Sun" Art Gallery in Bemus Point, NY for four years, where
she displayed the works of local artists and artisans.
She has exhibited at Lily Dale, Jamestown
Community College Forum Gallery Utopia Exhibit, the Prendergast
Library Gallery, the Jamestown Audubon Society Nature Exhibit,
and the Jamestown Sky-Jam Arts and Crafts Festival.
She will be exhibiting, with her Father, D. L.
Lawrence, at the Patterson Octagonal Gallery in Westfield
starting June 6, 2003.
Recently I have specialized in pen and
ink and watercolor studies of wildlife, hoping to represent all
the colors, contrasts, emotions and spontaneous glimpses woven
into the web of life. I call my work "Natural
Glimpses".
